Arrival in Georgetown
Arrive at Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
Our team will welcome you and assist with a smooth transfer to your hotel in Georgetown, Guyana’s capital and cultural heart.
Enjoy a relaxing evening and a light city orientation.
Overnight in Georgetown. -

Day 2
Islamic History of Georgetown
Begin your journey by exploring the development of Islam in Guyana, shaped by the arrival of indentured Muslims from India in the 1800s.
Highlights include:Queenstown Jama Masjid — one of the oldest masjids in Guyana
Central Islamic Organization of Guyana (CIOG) — learn about local Muslim scholarship and charity work
Walk through neighborhoods with strong Muslim traditions and Indo-Guyanese heritage
Overnight in Georgetown. -

Day 3
Essequibo Coast: Historic Masjids & Muslim Villages
Travel to the Essequibo Coast, home to some of Guyana’s earliest Muslim settlements.
Visits may include:Anna Regina Masjid — a central hub of the Muslim community
Traditional markets showcasing Indo-Guyanese culture
Interaction with local families preserving Islamic traditions through food, language, and customs

Journey to Berbice, known for its vibrant Muslim communities.
Key experiences:Canje Pheasant Mosque or other historic Berbice masjids

Day 6

Experience Guyana’s incredible natural environment while staying rooted in reflection and gratitude:
Visit Kaieteur Falls (optional scenic flight) — one of the world’s most spectacular waterfalls
